Doc Brown's BBQ

Doc Brown’s had a very practical website problem: their menu was difficult to maintain.
The old menu lived in a static PDF, so even a small change to an item, special, or price could turn into more work than it should have been. For a restaurant where the menu naturally changes over time, that setup wasn’t serving the business particularly well. Especially when it comes to SEO and wanting to rank in search results for BBQ and other menu items, since Google doesn't read the text in images!

We rebuilt the site on Squarespace with a menu that could be updated much more easily, giving David and Krista greater control over keeping the website accurate without needing to recreate and replace a PDF every time something changed.

The new site also gave the restaurant a stronger place to showcase the food, catering options, location information, and everything someone needs before deciding to visit. Today, the website regularly serves thousands of visitors each month, which makes having accurate, easy-to-update information even more important!

This is a good example of why website design isn’t always about adding MORE. Sometimes the best improvement is simply making an everyday business task significantly EASIER— especially when that website is being used by that many people.
